If ShopBack isn't showing your cashback, first wait: ShopBack says an order can take up to 48 hours to appear as Pending. If it still isn't there, the usual causes are an ad blocker, a coupon code that ShopBack didn't list, clicking another ad or offer site during the purchase, or not starting the trip from ShopBack. Step 1: check whether it's just early
ShopBack tracks your trip with a cookie set when you click through to the store. It says the order can take up to 48 hours to show as Pending, and sometimes longer. Check the Pending tab (in the app, tap Lifetime earnings; on the website, go to Account information). ShopBack also emails you when cashback is recorded.
Pending isn't the same as missing. A pending entry turns Confirmed only after the store validates the purchase and its return or cancellation period ends, which varies by store. See is ShopBack legit? for the full timeline.
Step 2: go through ShopBack's own checklist
ShopBack's help centre lists these reasons a purchase may not track or may be rejected:

ShopBack also notes that a store can cap the cashback, so the confirmed amount may end up lower than the amount first tracked.
Step 3: file a missing cashback report
If none of the causes above applies, report it. ShopBack's steps:
- App: go to My Cashback and tap the option for cashback that hasn't shown up, or open Support and choose "Request help on Missing Cashback". Website: hover over the Account icon, open Cashback Overview and click Report a Missing Cashback.
- Choose the order or store and the purchase date.
- Enter the order ID from the store's confirmation email, text or receipt. Stores call it different things: order number, booking ID or receipt ID.
- Upload a screenshot or PDF of the order confirmation (PNG, JPEG or PDF). If ShopBack can't match the order, it may ask for the amount, the currency and any coupon code you used.
- Track the request under Account, Support, View Support Requests.
Timing matters. You can file only after 48 hours (up to 7 days for some stores) and within 30 days of the purchase date. If the report button doesn't appear at all, either the 30 days have passed or ShopBack has no record of your visit to that store.
Step 4: if your cashback was rejected
Open Cashback Overview, find the rejected entry and tap the arrow to see the reason. If you think it's wrong, choose "You believe this should not be the case?" and fill in the form. If that option isn't there, ShopBack says you can email [email protected] with the store's order confirmation.
How to stop it happening next time
- Always start the trip on ShopBack and click through to the store.
- Pause your ad blocker for that visit.
- Don't open other tabs, search results, coupon sites or ads after clicking through. ShopBack also suggests using a private or incognito window where possible.
- Only use codes listed on ShopBack's store page.
- Update the ShopBack app, and the store's app if you use one.
- Read the store's cashback terms before buying, and keep the confirmation email until the cashback is paid.
